Zampell Launches New Scaffold Division

NEWBURYPORT, MA, USA – MAY 30, 2013 – ZAMPELL COMPANIES – Zampell launches new scaffold division based in Newburyport, Massachusetts.  This new venture was a natural fit for Zampell who uses its own scaffolding on a daily basis in its refractory and insulation business throughout the United States.  Zampell focuses on meeting their own diversification objectives while fulfilling their customer demands for a sole contractor to provide all the services that a facility may need.

Zampell Scaffolding, LLC has acquired a substantial scaffolding inventory and will offer sales and rentals to support its northeast operations and beyond. This particular venture expands Zampell’s capabilities into the commercial scaffold rental and sales marketplace with a focus on supporting local commercial contractors and shipyards.

Zampell is a merit shop service organization that is chiefly involved with the engineering and construction of refractories and insulation within the industrial sector. NIA Announces New 2013-2014 Board of Directors and Executive Committee

BONITA SPRINGS, FL, USA – APRIL 18, 2013 – ZAMPELL COMPANIES – The National Insulation Association (NIA) is pleased to announce its officers for 2013-2014, led by NIA’s new President, David Dzina. The new leaders and representatives assumed their responsibilities following a unanimous vote by the NIA membership at the organization’s business session, which took place on April 18, 2013, at NIA’s 58th Annual Convention in Bonita Springs, Florida.

NIA’s new Board will be headed by David Dzina, who co-owns PBI Supply and Selle Supply Company with Cheryl Burrows. Selle Supply Company and PBI Supply are full-line distributors of insulation products and related construction materials. They specialize in the lamination of fiberglass insulation for metal buildings. Mr. Dzina has been the Co-owner and President of PBI Supply and Selle Supply Company since 2003 and has almost twenty years of experience in the insulation and metal building lamination industry. Mr. Dzina specializes in sales and is responsible for the operations of both companies. Throughout his career, Mr. Dzina has been involved in NIA through committee membership, by serving as Chairman of several committees, and also by serving on the Board of Directors.

Mr. Dzina believes that NIA should serve as the steward for the industry and help guide its members down the best path forward. His term will conclude at NIA’s 59th Annual Convention at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells in Indian Wells, California from April 2-5, 2014.

The 2013-2014 Executive Committee consists of Roger B. Crawford, Low Country Insulation, Inc., serving as President-Elect, while J. Kenneth Freeman, Petrin Corporation, is taking the role of Secretary/Treasurer. Steve Luse, Luse Thermal Technologies, is serving as Assistant Treasurer. Also serving on the 2013-14 Board of Directors and Executive Committee is Immediate Past President Rick Smith, E.J. Bartells. Serving as the Past President Advisors are Tom Burcham, retired; and Charles Schattgen, Superior Plus Construction Products Corporation (Winroc SPI).

Several Regional Board Representatives will also be serving on the Board of Directors and include Jim Gribbins, Gribbins Insulation Company, Inc., representing the Central States Insulation Association (CSIA); Joe Leo, Atlantic Contracting & Specialties, LLC, representing the Eastern States Insulation Contractors Association (ESICA); Matt Caldwell of Caldwell Insulation, Inc., representing the Southeastern Insulation Contractors Association (SEICA); David Gottlich, Basic Industries, Ltd., representing the Southwestern Insulation Contractors Association (SWICA); and Tim Stout, Hudson Bay Insulation Company, representing the Western Insulation Contractors Association (WICA). The Midwest Insulation Contractors Association (MICA) Representative position is currently vacant, and will be filled at a later date.

The At-Large Representatives for the 2013-2014 Board include Darrel Bailey, Performance Contracting, Inc.; Dana Vlk, Distribution International S.W., Inc. (DBA Distribution International); John Lamberton, Irex Contracting Group; Dan Bofinger, Superior Plus Construction Products Corporation (Winroc SPI); Mark Duppler, Bay Industries, Inc.; and Mark Reed, Zampell Companies. Associate Representatives are Alan Shepherd of Armacell, and Doug Bolen of Knauf Insulation.
